The Best Manufacturing Method for your Product
28.10.2022
The most of manufacturing methods in plastics processing seem to be very similar at first sight. However, different techniques are used in the process. It often makes sense to produce components using the other manufacturing processes in addition to injection moulding. By choosing the right method, expensive unnecessary investments can be prevented. The engineers of Fried Kunststofftechnik are very familiar with the subject of production technology and will be pleased to advise you in detail.
Structural Foam Injection Moulding
Structural foam injection moulding is recommended for the production of rigid components. For example, cover parts with a high degree of integration and functionality, as well as structural parts and assembly bodies. Compared to compact injection moulding, thicker walls of 5 to 8 mm can be produced with foam injection moulding. This makes possible to produce complex constructions with stable geometries and a high degree of design. Also some supporting elements e.g., ribs or domes can be integrated in the plastic parts.
