In addition to your work at Fried, you volunteer in the football department of TSV Rudersberg. What are your responsibilities there?

I have been the head of the football department for a year now and take on a wide range of tasks: I organize committee meetings, plan events, manage new memberships, and handle administrative duties such as funding and membership applications. Additionally, I coordinate with sponsors and players, provide support when issues arise, and sometimes even supervise teams on match days. Of course, this is just a brief overview – there’s much more going on behind the scenes.

How big is the football department at TSV Rudersberg?

Our football department has over 400 members.

How did you become the head of the football department at TSV Rudersberg? What motivates you in this role?

At first, I was just a fan of TSV Rudersberg — I never planned to play myself. I wanted to contribute as a volunteer and support the club. My first role was as a match coordinator, where I assisted players and handled minor tasks. Over time, I took on more responsibility until I eventually became the deputy head of the department. When my predecessor stepped down, I decided to take over this role. What motivates me most is the personal growth that comes with this role, as well as the interaction with members, spectators, and sponsors. I enjoy the organizational aspects and the challenges they bring.

How did the partnership between Fried Kunststofftechnik and TSV Rudersberg come about, and what role did you play in it?

I approached our managing director, Mr. Thomas, to see if there was interest in sponsoring the club. It’s a win-win situation: Fried gains visibility in the region, and TSV Rudersberg receives much-needed financial support. After discussions with management and the marketing department, the sponsorship partnership was established.

What does TSV Rudersberg mean to you personally, and how would you describe the club’s community?

TSV Rudersberg is very close to my heart. I invest a lot of time and passion into the club, and many of my friends play football here. The community feels like one big family – the team spirit and camaraderie are fantastic!

What have been your personal highlights at TSV Rudersberg so far?

Definitely the two promotion play-off matches and our team’s rise to the district league! That was a huge moment for all of us. Another highlight was the way we stuck together as a club during the COVID-19 pandemic. I’m proud of the positive development we’ve had since then.

What are your goals as the head of the football department for the future of TSV Rudersberg?

My goal is to continue developing the club, especially in youth work, because the youth teams are the future of the club. I want to help our young players transition into the senior teams and support them in advancing to higher leagues. Additionally, I aim to retain and further support our current members.

Balancing work and volunteering isn’t easy. How do you manage to keep both in check?

The key is good time management and knowing how to delegate tasks. You have to learn that you can’t do everything alone and that sometimes you need to hand over responsibilities. This applies to both my work at Fried and my volunteer role.

What benefits does the sponsorship from Fried Kunststofftechnik bring to the club?

Right now, we don’t have any major projects planned, but as a small club, we rely on every sponsor. Sponsorship funds help us purchase essential items like new balls or jerseys. Local sponsors are particularly valuable because they allow us to build close relationships and achieve our club’s goals together.
