The agricultural machinery manufacturer Fendt presented a new generation of a narrow gauge tractor in October 2020. Fendt is a brand of the US company AGCO Corporation in the agricultural sector. The new Fendt 200 VFP Vario is built for work in specialty crops such as vineyards or orchards. In a two-year project led by Fendt, new roof modules for the special tractors were developed in cooperation with Fried Kunststofftechnik. The production is also carried out by the company Fried.
Designed to save Space, Weight and Material
Fried is not only a reliable partner for the production of large and small series, prototypes and automation. The range of services also includes a technology-compliant design of the individual components as a preparation for series production. That was the task for the new tractor roof for Fendt as well. The project consists of two visually and technically similar assemblies for the different tractor models with a total roof dimension of 1,5 x 1 m. The components will be produced using another production method. The entire concept of the roof assembly, which was already developed for thermoforming and wet pressing process, has been completely modified.
