Products can only be as good as their mould - be it in short runs or
mass serial production.
This is why the mould flow study precedes the actual mould making. Simulated
mould-filling technique helps determine the optimum point of injection and a
high degree of perfection. After all, it will be the moulds and not the
engineers that will be finally put under pressure. In some cases, they need
to withstand pressures more than 30,000 kN.

There is a strong demand for
rapid prototyping: On request, FRIED will produce a
life-size model before the start of serial production.

Whoever develops a product needs to
have a clear understanding of the injection mould's
design and needs to not only be able to
calculate material and flow characteristics but
also to vary these in preliminary production stages.
